43 cats were found in a freezing U-Haul at a Muncie motel Friday night. Police were called to the Baymont Inn and found the felines, many requiring medical treatment. The owner was living at the hotel and voluntarily drove to Muncie Animal Care to drop off the cats. The shelter recently held an event and adopted out 50 cats, putting the facility right back at capacity.
