Thanksgiving Notes

Air travel is expected to hit an all-time high this week for Thanksgiving.  The U.S. military is opening up some of its airspace to commercial flights to handle the surge.

President Trump took part in an annual tradition Tuesday by pardoning the National Thanksgiving Turkey. Two birds named Peas and Carrots were sent from South Dakota for this year’s ceremony.

Indiana State Police are increasing their traffic enforcement this Thanksgiving with Operation C.A.R.E. – short for Combined Accident Reduction Effort. They’re stepping up patrols in order to reduce crashes around major travel holidays including Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
