At its peak, more than 50-thousand customers of Indiana & Michigan Power Company were without electricity Thursday, after freezing rain and ice coated trees and power lines. At this hour, about 100 I&M employees and contractors are working to restore power. Some Delaware County homes may not see electricity restored until late tonight. Some Anderson residents remain without power this morning. Anderson Light and Power says crews are working diligently to restore power to those who are still without electricity.
