Thanks to the Madison County Council, $235,000 in emergency requests is heading to Alexandria and Chesterfield. The funds from the county’s food and beverage tax will help the town of Chesterfield for the installation of a new boiler and rewiring of the Millcreek Civic Center; while Alexandria will receive funds to pay for the emergency demolition of a downtown building.
