A comprehensvie forensic audit of Muncie Community Schools uncovered no corrpution. It did however, reveal that school district officials did use restricted bond funds to try to cover gaps in operating budgets. The Star Press reports the audit covered the period Jan. 1, 2014, to Sept. 5, 2018, during which there were six chief financial officers, including longtime CFO Mark Burkhart, and two superintendents.
