More Of Muncie Is Working

More of Muncie is working, according to the latest numbers from the Indiana Department of Workforce Development. The unemployment rate for September decreased to 3.4 percent. That’s down from 4.3 percent in August. Over the same month the jobless numbers dropped by nearly 530 persons. Unemployment rates are nearly steady throughout east central Indiana. Blackford and Randolph are ranked at #18 and #20 in the state– both at 3.4 percent unemployment. Delaware and Madison County are at 3.3 percent with Henry and Jay Counties at a 3 percent.
