Alexandria To Recoup Demolition Costs

The city of Alexandria is in line to receive $180,000 in food and beverage tax revenues to cover the cost of demolishing a building on North Harrison Street. The funding requests will have to be approved by the Madison County Council at their November meeting. The building partially collapsed Sept. 13 and was eventually demolished by the city.
