The proposed Delaware County jail project would only have permanent secure jail cells built in an addition to the building. Otherwise, the inmate housing proposed in the current blueprint would be dormitory style rooms that inmates would have the opportunity to earn through good behavior. More than 200 more would be held in the dormitory areas.
