The jury found him guilty of trying to kill his ex-girlfriend with a homemade bomb. 40-year-old Lionel Ray Mackey Jr. was found guilty of attempted murder and is facing up to 40 years in prison. Last spring, another jury found Mackey guilty of five related charges, but could not reach a verdict on the attempted murder count. Mackey will be sentenced on Oct. 1 on six convictions.
