An Uptick In The Madison County Unemployment Rate

Madison County’s unemployment rate in August was 4.0 percent, according a report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics released by the Indiana Department of Workforce Development. That’s an uptick of 0.2 percentage points over the 3.8 percent rate reported in July, yet still lower than 4.2 percent, the state office reported in August of last year.
