A coroner says a man whose badly decomposed body was found in the Rangeline Nature Preserve in Anderson died from two gunshots to the head. The Madison County Coroner identified the victim Tuesday as 36-year-old David Lamar Phillips II of Anderson. His body was discovered Monday. Authorities say three Anderson residents have been arrested in connection with his death.
