Elwood police have arrested a convicted sex offender after he picked up his girlfriend’s children at Elwood Elementary. 32-year-old Michael J. Simpson pleaded not guilty to two counts of Level 6 felony unlawful entry of school property by a serious sex offender. Simpson was convicted of child molestation in Marion County. And he’s listed as a sex offender with registration through 2024.
