They just spent a lot of money to fix asbestos problems and to remodel at the Madison County Government Center. Now, county commissioners may have to spend upwards of a half-million dollars to replace the two elevators. Officials say they’re original to the building and getting parts is next to impossible. They also note that the issue is unrelated to the previous work done at the center.
