Fort Wayne police say a man shot and critically wounded by an off-duty officer had started to remove an “authentic-looking pellet-style handgun” tucked in his waistband when the shooting occurred. Police say the man, 28-year-old Anthony Wayne Lincoln, remains in critical but stable condition in a hospital following the shooting whlich happened at about 3am Sunday when Lincoln approached officer as he sat in his vehicle.
