A man arrested in the 1988 slaying of an 8-year-old northern Indiana girl appeared before a judge Monday who gave prosecutors 72 hours to formally charge him in the child’s abduction, rape and killing. 59-year-old John D. Miller allegedly admitted to the murder of April Marie Tinsley. He’s scheduled to appear Thursday for a formal arraignment.
