Muncie Community Schools is experiencing higher numbers of children that aren’t prepared for kindergarten. Out of nearly eleven-hundred four-year-olds in Delaware County, almost 600 are in low income families. The BY5 early childhood program says parents and others can help by reading to kids, teach them to sing and encouraging them to ask questions.
