One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash west of New Castle. The male un-named victim was driving a pickup truck eastbound on Ind. 38 when he crossed the center line and sideswiped an SUV before crashing into a tree. The driver was taken to the hospital where he later died. No one was injured in the other vehicle.
