Woman Dies After Being Pinned Under Riding Mower

A coroner says a woman died after her riding lawn mower overturned on an embankment, trapping her beneath it. The Allen County Coroner said Friday that 69-year-old Sue Method of Fort Wayne died in Wednesday’s accident. Method was operating a riding lawnmower when it traveled down a steep embankment, rolled over and she became pinned underneath the machine. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner says she died from asphyxia due to chest compression.
