Over budget – by more than half a million dollars: That’s the latest word on the remodeling and asbestos removal at the Madison County Government Center. The project was expected to cost $3.5 million and be completed by June 30. Although the building could still open by July 1, it is believed that the opening could be delayed for at least a month.
