He recently admitted to committing murder a decade ago. Monday, the former Delaware County man made his first court appearance. 51-year-old Dana Ray Zirkel said little during the hearing. The former Daleville resident is charged with murder and burglary in the 2008 slaying of 49-year-old Michael Patterson in the victim’s Middletown home. Zirkel’s trial has been set for Aug. 13
