The rainy day fund in Madison County would be just about dried out by money needed to handle cost increases for asbestos remediation and remodeling work at the Madison County Government Center. County Commissioners are requesting an additional $431,000 from the fund, which holds a grand total of $550,000. A decision on funding the work was delayed until the May 15 meeting.
