Unpaid Anderson Utility Bills Turned Over To Collection Agency
Unpaid utility bills owed to the city of Anderson have now been turned over to a collection agency. The Board of Public Works this week approved a write of about $700,000 worth from 2016. That amount is about $118,000 less than what was written off in 2015. Generally speaking, when a bill becomes 60 days past due, it’s turned over to a collection agency.
