Ownership Of Downtown Building Transferred

A vacant downtown Anderson building has been taken off the county’s certificate tax sale with the ownership transferred to the City of Anderson.  The property at 11-23 Meridian Street has more than 150-thousand dollars in unpaid property taxes. The city plans to use the property for a proposed economic development project.
