Most Schools Call Student Walkout, “Disruptive To Learning”

Muncie Central high school students will be participating in the National School Walkout movement to honor the Parkland, Florida massacre victims tomorrow. Students have worked with administrators in organizing a 17-minute walkout to pay respects to the 17 individuals who were killed. The walkout will occur Wednesday at 10 a.m. While Muncie Central students will participate in the walkout, other area schools such as Daleville, Yorktown and Delaware Community have decided against it. Those school officials say the walkout would create a substantial disruption to the learning environment.
