Convictions Upheld Against Muncie Man Shot By Police

A Muncie man who was hot by police after taking off from a traffic stop and refusing police orders, has had his convictions upheld in state appeals court . 55 year old William Jackson Jr. was found guilty last summer of aggravated battery and aiding, inducing or causing dealing in heroin. Jackson had been pulled over by police and sped away as an officer stood by his van. When the officer fired after the warning, Jackson was injured.
