Where students once learned, inmates will pay their dues in Delaware County. County officials have agreed to buy the former Wilson Middle School property on South Tillotson Avenue for $2.8 million dollars then plans to spend between $37 million and $45 million to convert it into a 500 bed jail within two years. Next week they’ll start looking for a company to build the lockup.
