Yet another scam: In this one, a Sheriff’s Office number shows up on your phone with the caller stating that he has a partial social security number and needs to verify the number and other personal information. As usual, they apply pressure under the threat of arrest. Police remind you to NEVER give out personal information including social security numbers, dates of birth, and other personal identifiers.
