The son of former Madison County Judge David Hopper is seeking the Republican Party nomination for the judgeship of Madison Circuit Court Division 3. Andrew Hopper is the first Republican to enter the primary field for the position. Incumbent Democrat Thomas Newman Jr. has decided not to run, leaving the vacancy on the bench.
