Muncie firefighters battled at blaze at the former Midwest Metal building Sunday afternoon. A report of dark smoke from the fire was reported from as far away as Tipton and Gas City. Fire units were initially hampered from even arriving at the scene as onlookers blocked access. An official cause of the blaze has not been reported.
