A plan to allow Ball State Unversity to appoint members to the Muncie Community School Board has been passed by the state House Ways and Means Committee. HB1315 was approved Wednesday and moves to the House floor for more debate. The measure, as it stands, would have BSU appoint five members to the board. Muncie’s mayor and city council would nominate other members for approval to the seven member board.
