Bill Would Allow BSU To Oversee MCS

Ball State overseeing Muncie Community Schools: A bill in front of the House Ways and Means Committee in the State Legislature would allow that scenario to unfold. The House Ways and Means Committee is hearing testimony on it Wednesday. No vote will happen. Among those speaking, BSU President Geoffrey S. Mearns and Indianapolis attorney Rick Hall, chair of the university’s board of trustees. Backers say the measure is a way to contemplate solutions for MCS.
