Muncie’s former police chief Steve Stewart said he resigned after the actions of city. Now, Muncie is responding with accusations of its own. The City of Muncie and Mayor Dennis Tyler have filed a response to Stewart’s federal court lawsuit, asking for an immediate judgment. The city claims that the former chief was the subject of a sexual harassment complaint and did not address the accusations before he resigned 11 days later.
