A Madison County judge has rescinded a defendant’s speedy trial request so the defense attorney can prepare for a murder trial. Agapito Diaz III’s request for a speedy trial was rescinded at the request of his attorney. Diaz is awaiting trial on a charge of murder of Jaylynn Harmon in Chesterfield on Nov. 6.
