$40.5 Million Collected In Property Taxes

2017 property tax collection in Madison County is at 96 percent – that’s 40 and a half-million-dollars to be distributed to local taxing units. For persons wanting to make advance payments on their 2017 taxes payable in 2018, the deadline is noon Dec. 29. That’s when the county stops collecting property tax payments in order to settle the accounts for the year.
