Ordinance To Create Muncie Ambulance Service

Muncie’s efforts to creat its own ambulance service is moving along. An ordinance to create one will be heard at the Monday meeting of City Council. The measure would establish a fire department based-EMS, reports the Star Press, and provide a formula for assessing fees, plus, it allows the city to contract out the services until it has enough personnel and equipment to get up and running independently.
