Ball State University will host a preliminary round of the Hastings International Piano Concerto Competition. Between November 8th and the 12th, there will be four dozen young pianists performing in Sursa Hall. Other competitions will be happening in London, Berlin, Milan and Tokyo. The next phase happens early next year with the six finalists performing with the the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and first prize is 15,000 pounds and more performance engagements.
