A New Castle man was shot by police Sunday night as he stabbed a woman behind a home in that city’s downtown. The suspect, 41-year-old Brandon Flowers was flown to an Indianapolis hospital with life threatening injuries. The female stabbing victim was also flown to Indy with serious injuries.
