Governor Joins Fight Against Opioid Abuse

Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb is joining Indiana University officials to fight opioid abuse. That joint effort is valued at $50 million and is part of Indiana University’s “Grand Challenge” program, which will use the money to collect data, train health care workers, and devise better policy. Indiana is one of four states where opioid overdose deaths have more than quadrupled since 1999.
