A resolution set to go in front of the Tipton County Council will, if approved, allow the Tipton County Commissioners to take the next step in obtaining a parcel of land for the new jail. Specifically, the county has expressed interest in a slightly over 12-acre parcel to the west of Tipton near where Indiana 28 meets Jefferson Street.
