Larry Newton Jr.’s bid to have his life sentence revoked failed this week in the Indiana Court of Appeals. He pleaded guilty to the September 25th, 1994 murder of 19 year old Ball State student Christopher Coyle. Police say it started as an armed robbery attempt in an alley east of the school campus.
