A new spending plan being considered in Anderson would cut the ranks of police and firefighters next year. Specifically, it would take out one firefighter and two police officers in an effort to save money. The proposed budget for next year trims the work force to 111 for the Fire Department and 110 for the Police Department, reports the Herald Bulletin.
