East Central Indiana was once again well-represented in the annual Indiana State Fair Band Day competition. After narrowing the field down from 49 schools, half of the Sweet 16 was comprised of local bands. Including; Richmond, Muncie Central, Monroe Central, Jay County, Kokomo, Winchester, Hagerstown, and Anderson. In the end, Noblesville won – followed by Winchester in 2nd, Jay County 3rd, Kokomo 4th, and Anderson in 5th. Muncie Central rounded out the top ten.
