The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commission has honored James L. Warner Sr. for his many contributions to the Anderson community. Warner is best known as a gospel radio host for 19 years at WHUT and for 23 years at WHBU. He also is known as the organizer for 34 years of Anderson’s Thanksgiving Day Dinner, and has sponsored a Christmas basket giveaway for the past 12 years.
