Hartford City officials are considering their options after the city clerk was duped into sending 16-thousand dollars to an out-of-state individual. Pam Smart says she was scammed by a spoofed email when she transferred the funds to a bank account in Princeton, West Virginia. Indiana State Police and the FBI are investigating.
