The Indiana State Fair officially begins today and runs through August 20th. The fair is open Sunday – Thursday: 8AM – 9PM and Friday & Saturday: 8AM – 9:30PM. The midway is open Monday – Friday: Noon – 11PM and Saturday & Sunday: 11AM – 11PM. There are many new tastes at the Indiana State Fair this year – the theme is “The Wonderful World Of Food”
State inspectors spent Thursday checking out the rides on the midway. Inspectors from the state’s Fire and Building Safety Division look at everything from seat belts and emergency brakes to the insurance paperwork.
