A Marion man is dead following a one-car accident in Howard County. 50-year-old Ronnie Bates was driving along 100 North when his vehicle ran off the road, struck a culvert and landed on its roof. Authorities say Bates was wearing his seat belt, and the car’s airbags did deploy. However, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
