Many communities in EC Indiana are celebrating the holiday. Tonight it’s the Alexandria Independence Celebration and Freedom Concert. It starts at 7 with music in the Alex Intermediate School parking lot. Anderson’s parade starts at 7 tonight and the fireworks from Athletic Park start at 10. Summitville’s Firecracker Festival wraps up with fireworks at dusk tonight. While Elwood has Quincy’s Brass performing from 7 to 9 p.m. at the football stadium as part of the city’s Concert in the Park series. Tonight, in Chesterfield, their fireworks start at 9:30 at the Anderson Municipal Airport.
Tuesday, the City of Muncie’s annual fireworks show along the levee by Central High School will begin after dark. America’s Hometown Band will perform a free outdoor concert of patriotic music starting at 8 p.m. on the lawn of Minnetrista. Hoosier Park will Fire it Up on the Fourth, with a performance by The Fabulous Thunderbirds followed up by fireworks.
