14 teachers in Muncie Community Schools are resigning. The MCS school board has approved those resignations and approved layoffs of four library media specialists, a music teacher and a German teacher. The head of the teacher’s union tells the Star Press the high number of resignations is due to the district’s slash and burn approach to deficit reduction.
