Smith Appointed Interim Super At ACS

The Anderson Community Schools Board of Trustees has appointed Dr. Tim Smith, the district’s assistant superintendent of Human Resources, as interim superintendent. The Herald Bulletin reports that the appointment is expected to last through 2017-18 as a search gets underway to permanently replace Superintendent Thompson, who retired on June 2 after suffering a heart attack in early April.
