The Relay for Life of Madison County runs from 4pm Friday to midnight at Beulah Park in Alexandria. Even ahead of the race, 47 percent of the goal, which was set at $58,000, has already been raised. The money raised goes to the efforts of the American Cancer Society. There’s also a free dinner reception for cancer survivors and patients 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the Emery Lee Building.
